Deleting contacts from the WhatsApp contact list is quite simple and easy. As you know, WhatsApp uses your phonebook contact to create their contact list. So if you want to delete WhatsApp contacts, then you can also use your phone’s phonebook to delete WhatsApp contacts.
Deleting Whatsapp Contact
Step 1: Open the WhatsApp > “Contact” tab.
Step 2: Find & Select the contact that you want to delete from your WhatsApp contact list.
Step 3: Tap on the Contact, then tap on the Name of contact at the top of the chat screen. (This will open up Contact Profile Info.)
Step 4: Now, you have to tap on the Three-Dotted Menu button, which you can find on the top right side of the WhatsApp screen
Step 5: After that, select the “View in address book” option (This will open up your Phone’s phonebook)
Step 6: From the Phone’s Phonebook app, you can easily delete that contact from your smartphone. (As you delete other contacts from your smartphone’s phonebook)
Step 7: If you still see that contact number in your WhatsApp chat section, then open WhatsApp on your smartphone and delete the conversation with that contact (As you delete other conversations on the WhatsApp app)
